How to Set the Auto Refresh on the PureData Attendance Management Plugin Scan Page

Talha Yousuf Updated

Keeping your attendance timestamps accurate is crucial for maintaining proper records. If you've noticed a discrepancy between the time a student scans in and the time recorded in PowerSchool, setting the Auto Refresh feature will resolve this issue. Here's how to set it up:

Step 1: Log in to PowerSchool

Access your PowerSchool account using your credentials to start the process.

Step 2: Access the PureData Attendance Management Plugin

Once logged in, navigate to the PureData Attendance Management Plugin from the main menu.

Step 3: Navigate to the Scan Page

On the plugin dashboard, find and navigate to any scan page where you'd like to manage attendance.

Step 4: Locate the 'Refresh' Option

On the scan page, look at the right corner of the screen to locate the 'Refresh' option. The 'Refresh' box is highlighted in the attached screenshot for easy identification.

Step 5: Set the Refresh Interval

Click on the dropdown menu within the 'Refresh' box and select either 30 or 60 seconds for the interval. This setting will ensure that the page automatically updates at the interval you've chosen, keeping the time display current.

Step 6: Confirm and Continue

After selecting your desired refresh interval, the page will now automatically refresh at that set time. This means the timestamp on student scans will reflect the actual time of the scan without any delay.

By enabling the auto refresh feature, you can rest assured that the time recorded in PowerSchool will accurately match the scan time, mitigating any discrepancies as the day progresses.
