PowerSchool Plugin | How to Install and Enable a Plugin

Pre-Installation Checklist Before initiating the installation process, ensure that the plugin file provided by the PureData team is a .zip file. Do not unzip this file.

 

Installing a Plugin in PowerSchool

  1. Navigate to the "System" option located under "Setup" in the main menu to access the System Administrator page 
  2. From the "Server" section, click on "System Settings" to proceed to the System Settings page.
  3. On the System Settings page, select "Plugin Management Configuration" to open the Plugin Management Dashboard.
  4. Click on "Install" to navigate to the Plugin Install page.
  5. Here, you can either click on "Choose File" to upload the plugin installation file or use "Browse..." to locate the file on your system.
  6. After selecting the plugin file, click on "Install". A confirmation message will appear once the installation is successful.

Note: If you are using the new PowerSchool interface, utilize the search bar to find "Plugin Configuration", which will direct you straight to the plugin installation page.

 

Enabling a Plugin in PowerSchool

  1. Return to the "System" option under "Setup" in the main menu to visit the System Administrator page again.
  2. From the "Server" section, select "System Settings" to access the System Settings page.
  3. On this page, go to "Plugin Management Configuration" to view the Plugin Management Dashboard.
  4. Locate the plugin you just installed.
  5. To enable the plugin, check the box under "Enable/Disable".

By adhering to these guidelines, you should be able to successfully install and enable a plugin in PowerSchool.
